This cargo safety net meets the loading recommendations for raw wood loaded lengthwise up to a length of six meters. Since 2007/10/01, all vehicles have to be equipped with retainers for loose woods, being able to prevent the trunks lying loose in caverns from slipping.

Details

  • Retaining net / front wall protection made of PE/PVC fabric, high-strength, for safe transportation of short wood.
  • The PE/PVC fabric mesh offers a tensile strength of 45 kN and is therefore prepared even for toughest applications.
  • The front wall protection/retaining net is suitable for transportation of raw wood up to a log length of 6m, approved and additionally reinforced all around by a 50 mm webbing.
  • The webbing is sewn at its corners to 500 mm long belt loops, for instance to take up lashing means, to approximately 80 mm.
  • The mesh width of the fabric mesh is about 8 x 5 mm.
  • The grammage of the fabric is 650 g/sqm.
  • Its UV stability protects the fabric mesh from stress through strong solar radiation.
  • Cargo safety certificate by Dekra for the transport of short wood

Formation of caverns or tunnels for wood lengths below 4 metres can occur in the block, at the posts or in the bridge area, which are not reached by the lashing means and hence, are not secured. Therefore, single woods can slip and fall. The retaining net counteracts that risk. It has a very high strength and is easy to install. The solid processing ensures a long service life of the cargo safety net.
